Summary. Leads sustainment and improvement of the SOC's mission-planning and automation software, and supports testing of new ground system upgrades.

What the job involves.

  • Maintains the pass-plan automation tools used to schedule and run satellite contacts; fixes defects within 14–21 days and responds to change requests within 5 days.
  • Works under formal configuration management (IBM Rational ClearCase / ClearQuest).
  • Supports acceptance testing of ground system upgrades: test procedures, on-console testing, deficiency and test reports.
  • Writes training material for software changes; supervises other developers.

Ideal background. Developer on satellite ground or mission-planning software in a classified environment; experience with operator-facing tools.

Requirements. TS/SCI clearance required.
