Job Summary

We're looking for a Product Owner to join our Distribution Independent Agent (IA) Sales Experience Portfolio and help build a best-in-class Quoting application for our Home product line. This is a high-impact role at the center of a critical strategic initiative: delivering the tools our independent agents need to sell our enhanced Home products. You'll own the enhancement backlog for our New Quote & Issue agent experience, ensuring every update keeps pace with our evolving product portfolio and keeps agents equipped to sell with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own prioritization and management of the Home enhancement product backlog for the New Quote & Issue agent experience
  • Partner closely with experience and technology teams to translate new Home product launches into agent-experience updates, identifying pain points and opportunities to streamline how agents utilize our system
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to continuously improve ease-of-doing-business metrics
  • Help maintain delivery momentum and support issue resolution across the squad
  • Support the launch and stabilization of new end-to-end quote flows in market

Day to Day Expectations

  • With your aligned engineering squad/team, contributes towards achieving assigned product KPIs; manages product(s) with a low-medium degree of strategy, scope, and complexity
  • Owns and maintains the product backlog and is accountable for its contents, prioritization, and acceptance criteria; accountable for clear, actionable user stories
  • Sets priorities and actively participates in squad/team quarterly planning
  • With support, sets expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities
  • Participates in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies
  • Works daily with the Agile working group clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy
  • Attend daily standup
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to ensure work is moving forward and identify potentially impacting work from Product
  • Write user stories
  • Synthesize Qualtrics feedback to identify potential areas of opportunity
  • Build ContentSquare dashboard to review/prepare for recent implementation

Required Skills

  • Product Owner experience and demonstrated ability to communicate the value provided during previous employment — resumes should highlight contribution to squad execution, not just job descriptions
  • Product management or Product Owner experience in an Agile delivery environment
  • P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance experience — required
  • Regulated industry experience and knowledge (insurance, financial services, or similar)
  • Experience writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to facilitate or support Agile ceremonies
  • Strong execution and organization skills
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with engineering or technology teams

Preferred Skills

  • Commercial Lines experience
  • Personal Lines experience/familiarity
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics feedback synthesis
  • Experience with ContentSquare dashboards

Benefits

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans
  • 401k Retirement Fund
