Software Developer – C# / .NET / SQL (26-00423) -

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Software Developer with strong C#, .NET, and SQL experience to design, develop, and maintain business applications and system integrations. This is an onsite/hybrid position supporting a retirement services organization.

The Software Developer will work closely with business and IT teams to develop technical solutions that improve operational efficiency, support regulatory compliance, and enhance existing applications.

Duties

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Develop and support APIs, web services, and integrations across business systems.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and database functions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing .NET MVC applications.
• Support application enhancements, performance tuning, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Follow secure development practices, including OWASP guidelines, and participate in code reviews.
• Support application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server required.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and WCF Web Services.
• Strong SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and database optimization.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and IIS.
• Experience with source control tools such as GitHub, TFS, or SVN.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related field preferred.
• Microsoft Azure or other cloud development experience preferred.
• Experience in retirement services or financial services is a plus.
