Principle Software Engineer (On-site)

Our client is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a Paperless Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and its supporting databases. This role will develop software solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, automate data collection, and support continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and support Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Develop and maintain web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Create and execute verification test plans for completed projects.
• Collaborate with team members and end users to develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Design tools that help users work more efficiently and meet compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement automated data collection software.
• Maintain detailed documentation of software changes and test plans.
• Follow software development lifecycle practices, coding standards, and configuration management procedures.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives with MES database users.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Four to seven years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, ExtJS, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, and C#.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, coding standards, and standard configuration management tools.
• Ability to collaborate closely with technical teams and end users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing execution systems and their use in manufacturing operations.

Pay Range

$64.00 - $69.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
