About HP Barcelona

At HP Barcelona, we are committed to reshaping the future of work through technology. As one of the world’s largest R&D centers, we bring together more than 800 engineers and deliver over 150 inventions annually. Our site serves as the global headquarters for the Large Format Printing and 3D Printing Business Units, driving innovation across software, firmware, and hardware development.

Beyond engineering, our Sales, Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Finance teams work collaboratively to deliver exceptional customer experiences and continuously optimize processes. This ensures that HP remains agile and prepared to meet future challenges.

Our team

Analytics Enablement. Within HP Barcelona, the CO Analytics Enablement organization provides the foundations that let HP’s data, analytics and AI teams build and run solutions at scale. We operate and evolve Data Platforms (such as Databricks and Posit), cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliance practices, MLOps and software enablement tooling, so that solutions are delivered in a secure, reliable and repeatable way.

As an intern, you will join the Platform and Infrastructure teams and help them plan, deliver and continuously improve their work, learning first-hand how Agile delivery works in a modern, cloud-based technology organization.

Join us and be part of a team that is redefining how technology transforms work.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Scrum Master role for the Platform and Infrastructure teams: help facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, using Agile/Scrum practices inspired by SAFe (e.g., quarterly planning, dependency mapping).
  • Keep Jira boards and Confluence pages accurate, clean and transparent; build and maintain JQL filters and dashboards that give teams and stakeholders a clear view of progress.
  • Help teams refine the backlog so that epics and stories are clear, well-sized and meet the Definition of Ready.
  • Track dependencies, risks and impediments across platform, cloud infrastructure and security work, and escalate them when needed.
  • Prepare sprint metrics and reports (e.g., velocity, throughput, cycle time) and turn them into insights and improvement actions for the teams.
  • When capacity allows, support the Agile PM lead with milestone tracking, status reports, project documentation and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
  • Technical skills
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum (roles, events, artifacts) and interest in scaled frameworks such as SAFe; Kanban is a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence, including basic JQL for filters and dashboards
  • Basic SQL and data literacy, comfortable working with data to build metrics and reports
  • Good command of Excel and/or Power BI (or similar) for reporting and visualization
  • Curiosity about data platforms, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity concepts
  • Nice to have: basic scripting or automation (e.g., Python)
  • Soft skills
  • Clear, concise communication with engineers and stakeholders
  • Facilitation and active listening
  • Organization, time management and attention to detail
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset: spots blockers early and brings options
  • Teamwork and diplomacy in an international, cross-functional environment
  • Openness to feedback, adaptability and a growth mindset
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Experience our benefits

  • Paid internship within a global, technology driven company.
  • Join an international work environment, with opportunities for learning, professional development, and networking across teams.

  • Access to our intern community, including career development workshops, learning sessions, and social activities that help you grow professionally and connect with other interns.
  • Mentor assigned.
