Embedded Software Engineer – Bare-Metal Bootloader (OTA-Compliant ECU)

Job Summary

Develop and validate a bare-metal automotive bootloader for a single ECU, ensuring secure, reliable, and OTA-compliant firmware updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a bare-metal bootloader.
• Implement Secure Boot, OTA update, rollback, and recovery mechanisms.
• Develop Flash programming (erase/write/verify) and memory management.
• Implement UDS over CAN/CAN FD/DoIP for ECU programming.
• Integrate bootloader with ECU hardware and application software.
• Perform unit, integration, OTA, and fault-injection testing.
• Ensure compliance with MISRA C, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain requirements traceability.

Experience

• 5–10 years of embedded automotive software development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in automotive bootloader and OTA development.
