Suggested Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows on Snowflake.
• Develop reusable dbt models, including staging, intermediate and consumption/mart layers.
• Build complex SQL transformations and optimize queries for performance.
• Develop Python-based utilities and automation supporting data engineering workloads.
• Implement incremental data-processing patterns, data validation and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data-quality issues and production defects.
• Work with source-to-target mappings and translate business/data requirements into technical solutions.
• Follow Git-based development, code review, testing and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts and downstream reporting/analytics teams.

Preferred Snowflake/dbt capabilities

For screening, I would look specifically for experience with Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, stages, Time Travel, zero-copy cloning, incremental dbt models, snapshots, testing, SCD Type 1/2, performance tuning and Git/CI-CD.
