The Role

An AI Lead in the telecommunications industry is responsible for driving the strategic direction of AI-based projects, managing the AI team, overseeing research and development initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of scalable AI solutions aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities include

Leadership and Management

Lead and manage the AI research and development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

AI Strategy Development

Develop and implement AI strategies that support business objectives and drive innovation in telecommunications.

Project Oversight

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models and algorithms tailored to telecommunications applications.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into telecommunications products and services.

Trend Monitoring

Monitor and analyze AI trends specific to the telecommunications industry to ensure the company remains at the forefront of technology.

Scalability and Efficiency

Ensure scalability and efficiency in AI model deployment to handle large-scale telecommunications data.

Mentorship

Mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment.

Data Privacy and Security

Ensure data privacy and implement measures to secure sensitive telecommunications information

Qualifications

Education

o Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Experience

o Proven experience in managing AI projects and leading technical teams, preferably within the telecommunications industry.

Technical Skills

o In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning techniques, and data science concepts.

Leadership experience

At least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role, guiding teams and projects.

• Language Skills:
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proactive and results oriented.
