Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The LS-SWIFT division delivers high-throughput patterned wafer inspection systems that support advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to provide industry-leading defect detection with optimal cost of ownership across a wide range of applications. LS systems enable precise, cost-effective inspection for cutting-edge process nodes, while SWIFT systems offer comprehensive macro inspection of all wafer surfaces—capabilities that are especially critical for advanced packaging, as well as logic, memory, and automotive applications.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

• Responsible for providing applications support (owning projects, tool recipe setups, recipe optimization, customer training, issue troubleshooting, BKM setups, presentations…etc.; for advance packaging customers mostly in clean room environment.)
• Self-driven/motivation characters to achieve business goals from technical side. Well schedule and task managements under pressure are critical.
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Understanding on Advanced Packaging process or HBM process control is a plus
• Frequent communication with different groups including services dept., Engineering team (SoftWare, Hardware, Algorithm, ...) product manager, sales, Field teams, management and customers for projects and activities.
• Assists Sales and Marketing staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs.
• Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
• Communicate to customers to understand application requirements for current apps work and future tool/feature developments.
• Generate BKM for knowledge sharing and publish technical papers/notes.
• Use PowerPoint, Excel and Word for data analysis, knowledge documentation and presentation preparation.
• Domestic or international traveling to customer sites is required. Travel rate is up to 30%.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with hands-on experience in process integration, yield engineering, or defect inspection/metrology.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional regional languages is a plus.
