Are you passionate about turning complex data into powerful business solutions? Do you enjoy designing innovative technology, solving big challenges and influencing how organisations use data and AI?
We're looking for an experienced Senior Data & AI Architect to help shape our data and AI landscape, building the platforms, capabilities and foundations that will support our future.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking to influence how data and AI are used across our global organisation.
You'll be responsible for
- Shaping our data future: Designing and delivering enterprise-wide data architecture strategies that support our business ambitions.
- Building smarter platforms: Architecting scalable, secure and high-performing data solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Bringing AI to life: Designing AI and machine learning solutions that tackle real business challenges and deliver measurable value.
- Making data work harder: Improving existing infrastructure, optimising performance and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Setting the standards: Establishing strong data governance, quality, security and compliance frameworks.
- Connecting people and technology: Partnering with business leaders, engineers and data scientists to turn complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Driving innovation: Exploring emerging technologies, challenging existing approaches and helping our teams stay ahead of the curve.
- Sharing your expertise: Mentoring technical colleagues and helping build a culture of collaboration, learning and innovation.
What we’re looking for
We're looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to see the bigger picture. You'll be comfortable getting into the detail, but equally confident influencing stakeholders and shaping long-term technology decisions.
Ideally, you'll bring
- Significant experience in data architecture, data engineering or enterprise technology architecture, including leading large-scale initiatives.
- Strong experience designing data platforms using AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in data modelling, SQL, NoSQL and modern database technologies.
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop or distributed computing frameworks.
- Programming knowledge in Python, Scala, Java or similar languages.
- Experience architecting AI and machine learning solutions, including deploying models into production.
- A solid understanding of data governance, security, quality and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
