The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, user administration, and basic infrastructure operations. This individual must be comfortable working independently, responding to technical issues across multiple departments, and providing onsite assistance in both office and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Level II technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, business applications, and other end-user technologies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and access-related issues across office and manufacturing environments.
  • Install, configure, repair, and maintain Windows-based workstations, printers, scanners, and associated IT equipment.
  • Support specialized production-floor technologies, including barcode scanning devices, label printers, and connected workstations.
  • Manage technical support requests through a ticketing platform, ensuring timely resolution, documentation, and escalation.
  • Assist with user account administration, access permissions, password resets, and basic system security.
  • Monitor routine IT infrastructure operations, including backup jobs, system alerts, and equipment availability.
  • Coordinate with external technology providers and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records, equipment inventories, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with workstation deployments, equipment replacements, software installations, and technology upgrades.
  • Identify recurring technical problems and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide direct, hands-on technical assistance to employees throughout the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and common business applications.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with user account administration, access management, and IT security practices.
  • Experience using ticketing systems to document, track, and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and communicate effectively with nontechnical users.
  • Willingness to provide hands-on support in both office and industrial environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple support requests and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous IT support experience in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or industrial facility.
  • Experience supporting barcode scanners, thermal label printers, or other specialized operational equipment.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar enterprise administration platforms.
  • Basic experience monitoring system backups, troubleshooting backup failures, or assisting with data recovery.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management, hardware lifecycle processes, and workstation deployment procedures.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent industry certifications.
