Application Programmer

Application Programmer - Charlotte, NC - Contract - $65-70 Per HR

This is a hybrid contract position for an Application Programmer responsible for maintaining and supporting a technology platform. The role involves managing incidents, deploying releases, and monitoring applications. Candidates should have experience in problem-solving and a firm grasp of Linux and SQL. Experience with performance monitoring and log aggregation tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of technology platforms, ensuring operational readiness and availability.
• Identify and resolve production issues, creating incident tickets and enhancements as needed.
• Communicate effectively with development and business operations teams to address vulnerabilities and improve production services.
• Take ownership of escalations, perform troubleshooting, and use advanced query and programming skills to resolve complex issues.
• Create and enhance policies and procedures, adopting best practices for operational and technical functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Production Support or a related technical environment.
• 3+ years of experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools and log aggregation tools.
• Strong analytical skills to determine the root cause of technical issues.
• Experience with cloud technologies and Java/J2EE is preferred.
