The Role

You will take ownership of quality assurance and compliance activities across projects, products, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities include

• Planning and conducting internal audits against ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Managing supplier audits and quality oversight activities.
• Supporting external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Facilitating root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Managing engineering and process change control activities.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and supporting compliance implementation.
• Producing quality reports, compliance statements, and audit documentation.
• Supporting risk assessments, FMEA activities, and quality management processes.
• Deputising for senior quality and business improvement functions where required.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional with a background in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or another highly regulated industry.

• Engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience).
• Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification in ISO 9001.
• Experience auditing quality and security processes, ideally including ISO 27001.
• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
• Experience within aviation, defence, or military-regulated environments (Desirable).
• Knowledge of Part 21J, Part 21G, DPO, or similar frameworks (Desirable).
• Security or information assurance auditing experience (Desirable).
