Responsibilities

• Maintain TrendMicro Deep Security, agents, troubleshooting, deployment, migration
• Operational support of Cisco Umbrella
• Review firewall requests, sanitize requests to company standards and review with approving manager
• Solution architect and engineering requests for security engineering and solution architecting
• Ensures that information security deployments are properly architected, implemented, and have defined operational support.
• Troubleshooting application security issues
• Provide security consulting services, as needed, to various projects to ensure all information security needs are met
• Work with minimal supervision and be responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions. Apply sound judgment, escalating issues and decisions to the appropriate executive when necessary.

Qualifications

As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an Information Security Engineer to help our information Security team located in Raritan, NJ or Rochester NY. Reporting into the Senior Manager of Information Security, this resource will have global responsibility for security operations of our server antivirus, firewall ACL review and approval, analyze and respond to a wide range of security requests covering all locations and the ability to communicate with all levels within the company. The position will assist the Senior Manager to assess, design, implement and provide ongoing relevant information security services. The Information Security Engineer will also serve as a strong consultant to the enterprise business units, application, and technical teams.

• This position requires work during Eastern time zone 8AM-5PM
• Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
• Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other industry recognized information security credential is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with networks, endpoints, architecture, and solution engineering
• Demonstrated familiarity with administration and operation of networking devices including Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPNs.
• Must have current knowledge and experience in information security, and a combination of the following technologies:
• Palo Alto Firewall
• Networking technology
• Windows/Linux servers
• Windows 10
• Office 365/Azure
• Web applications like Apache or Tomcat
• Virtual servers
• Cloud Flare
• TrendMicro Deep Security
• Cisco OpenDNS/Umbrella
