Senior L3 Network Engineer

Descripción del puesto / Funciones

• Provide advanced (Level 3) support, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and optimization for enterprise network infrastructure.
• Lead network incident resolution and perform detailed root-cause analysis for major outages.
• Maintain, support, and participate in network architecture design reviews, upgrades, and security implementations.
• Automate routine network tasks and enhance monitoring processes using scripting and automation tools.
• Develop and maintain accurate network configurations, incident reports, and technical architecture documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (up to 1 week per month, running Tuesday to Tuesday, including weekends).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive network projects, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.

Requisitos mínimos

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in network engineering within enterprise or service provider environments, including hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Core Technical Expertise:
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking and security equipment (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper).
• Strong expertise in VPN technologies, firewall configurations, and network security appliances.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Cisco Catalyst Center / DNAC, Cisco ISE).
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and advanced fault-isolation capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership, adapt to fast-paced environments, and handle pressure effectively.

Requisitos valorables

• Certifications: Professional or expert-level certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent.
• Automation & Software: Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), NFV, and automation scripting (Python, Ansible).
• Cloud & Virtualization: Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data center virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Additional Systems: Familiarity with VoIP/Unified Communications systems and network architecture design tools.
