Full-Stack Developer – Python or Rust

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to build and enhance applications in an AI-driven development environment. This role focuses approximately 70% on backend development and 30% on frontend development, with an emphasis on databases, APIs, and practical AI integration.

The ideal candidate can translate business needs into technical solutions, ask thoughtful questions, contribute to solution design, and deliver working applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, database functionality, and frontend features.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements and design solutions.
• Incorporate AI capabilities into development workflows and application solutions.
• Support application delivery within a cloud environment.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 2–3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong backend development skills, particularly in database-related work.
• Hands-on experience with Python or Rust; proficiency in at least one is required.
• Strong SQL and database experience.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS preferred.
• Practical experience incorporating AI into development work or implemented solutions.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

AI Experience

Candidates should be able to explain how they have applied AI in actual development work and discuss a concrete project or solution. Experience delivering AI-enabled functionality into production is preferred. General use of ChatGPT or similar tools for asking questions alone does not meet this requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Financial-services industry experience.
• Experience deploying AI-enabled solutions to production.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be based in Charlotte, NC, or be committed to relocating and establishing themselves there to work alongside the project team.
