Pay Range

$50 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex incident response for high-impact security events, including ransomware and insider threats.
• Perform advanced forensic analysis of endpoints, memory, and cloud environments to determine root causes and scope of compromises.
• Provide clear incident briefings and status updates to management and cross-functional teams.
• Design and execute hypothesis-driven threat hunts based on threat intelligence and environmental risk.
• Conduct static and dynamic malware analysis to identify indicators of compromise and detection opportunities.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence teams to assess emerging threats and organizational exposure.
• Drive detection engineering efforts, including correlation searches and alert tuning.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• 5+ years of experience in security operations or incident response.
• Strong knowledge of threat hunting methodologies and forensic analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in malware analysis and understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Experience with detection engineering and security automation initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience in retail or payment ecosystems.
