Lead Developer - Heavy VB6

Main Job Responsibilities

• Completing development tasks, including any necessary debugging or unit testing.
• Enforcing existing development procedures and coding standards.
• Completing code reviews.
• Breakdown and estimation of development tasks as necessary within the product life cycle.
• Understanding how each task relates to the overall product and the business in general.
• Work to complete assigned R&D assignments.
• Participate in software support as necessary.
• Participate in fine tuning development processes and procedures.

Minimum Educational Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and leadership qualities.
• Expert knowledge of Visual Basic 6, including creation of custom controls.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from 2005 or later, with strong SQL coding skills and knowledge of stored procedures, triggers and functions.
• Strong knowledge of Crystal Reports.
• Experience developing systems for Microsoft client and server operating systems.
• Experience using and integrating applications with third party controls.
• Experience with licensed product release cycles, client installations and configurations.
• Strong knowledge of XML and related technologies.
• Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively with management, customers, business analysts and other developers.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Desired Skills

• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2008 R2.
• Programming experience in VB.NET using Visual Studio, Visual Studio 2010 preferred.
• Experience with globalization and localization.
• Previous experience with Theatrical Distribution, Exhibition and/or Digital Cinema businesses.
• Understanding of basic accounting (debits/credits/general ledger).
