Engineer, Propulsion System Diagnostic Software Validation (Job Code

Duties

Responsible for developing diagnostic software validation test cases for the system, subsystem, and component level for each propulsion system module (ECU) across the vehicle architecture; work closely with Software, Electrical, and Propulsion teams on the integration of multiple control units on the test properties; collaborate with Software, Electrical, and Propulsion teams to develop DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and test properties validation plans; write detailed test specifications and test scripts based on system and component requirements; generate a testing plan that achieves targets at various milestones; develop automation of DTC test cases and UDS services; utilize LIN, CANoe, CANalyzer, ALM, Git, Jira, Linux, C, C++, and Python to perform duties; analyze and visualize large data sets from various data sources to understand the use cases and validation criteria; responsible for technical communication of analysis results and tradeoffs; perform root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and escalation of risks to keep software development process on track; identify opportunities for automation; develop and implement processes to improve efficiency; and participate in Agile Software development processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience

One (1) year in the position above, as a Software Engineer – Controls, as a System Engineer, as a Systems Validation Engineer, as a Test Design Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements

Experience must include one (1) year’s use of all the following: LIN, CANoe, CANalyzer, ALM, Git, Jira, Linux, C, C++, and Python.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
