We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Developer with 3+ years of Finance-focused experience in Workday configuration, security, reporting, custom integrations, APIs, and user support. SQL and API experience are required. Workday HCM/Procurement exposure and Power BI/Databricks interest are a plus.

A standout addition to your profile will be hands-on experience or familiarity with Workday AI Agents, AI Gateway, and building custom AI agents / agentic workflows to automate enterprise use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Administrative & Configuration Support:
• Assist in configuring and maintaining core financial and HCM business processes (including general ledger, cost centers, financial controls, and compensation/advanced comp structures).
• Manage and maintain Workday Production, Sandbox, and Preview environments (supporting tenant refreshes, bi-annual releases, and testing).
• Oversee security configurations, user roles, access controls, and data privacy compliance.
• Troubleshooting & Documentation: Provide tier-2/3 technical support, perform root-cause analysis on system or integration errors, and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
• Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain advanced custom reports, calculated fields, analytics, and dashboards for finance, HR, and executive leadership.
• Integration Engineering & APIs: Design, build, troubleshoot, and support advanced API-based integrations and data pipelines (using EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Studio) connecting Workday with external systems.
• Data Operations & SQL: Support complex data loads, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting using intermediate SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Extensibility & AI Agents: Leverage developer tools and Workday AI Agents / AI Gateway architecture to design intelligent, automated workflows and agent-driven orchestrations.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Workday technical experience focused primarily in Finance, blending system configuration support with integration development.
• Core Technical Stack:
• Solid practical knowledge in Workday configuration, security management, and advanced reporting.
• Proven expertise in Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors) and API-based integrations (REST/SOAP).
• Intermediate SQL experience for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Coding and scripting fundamentals (e.g., XML, XSLT, JSON, Python).
• Soft Skills: Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• AI Knowledge (A Major Plus): Exposure to out of the box Workday AI Agents, AI Gateway, AI developer tools, or building custom AI agents/orchestrations within enterprise environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Any HCM experience, specifically with the Workday Advanced Compensation module, will be strongly preferred.
• Workday Integration and Workday Studio Certifications.
• Experience integrating Workday with cloud data warehouses Databricks or analytics platforms Power BI.
• Demonstrated passion for exploring and prototyping enterprise generative AI tools and agentic workflows

Decision Making and Supervision

• Work under minimal supervision.
• Make decisions and recommendations requiring analysis and interpretation within established procedures.

Working Conditions

• Generally comfortable working conditions with lifting and onsite installations.
• Moderate visual concentration in use of video display terminal.

The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
