Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Field Service Technician. You’ll provide on-site technical service to customers in Hong Kong, helping keep their Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment operating reliably. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting and service work with regular customer interaction.

You’ll manage service commitments, including installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and customer training. You’ll document service activities, manage assigned tools and parts, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally in all interactions with internal and external customers.
• Deliver agreed service commitments, including installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and customer training.
• Assess site conditions and customer needs, set priorities, and manage service work effectively.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical or mechanical knowledge and sound problem-solving skills.
• Document service activities accurately for customer and internal records.
• Build strong customer relationships and support a positive service experience.
• Maintain the accuracy and readiness of assigned tools and consignment parts.
• Follow applicable safety procedures and customer site requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement through the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System.
• Take on ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, as needed.
• Be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required to support customer and business needs.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or above in engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Relevant field service experience is preferred. Fresh graduates with a relevant technical background may also be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Electrical or mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in challenging situations.
• Strong customer service skills, a professional attitude, and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with calibration procedures is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role involves service work at customer sites. Travel to those sites is required according to service needs.
