AI-Native Electrical Engineer at True Talent Solutions Partners. We’ll keep it in your applied jobs, so you can see it later and be warned before applying to the same employer twice.

About the Role

Join a hardware team developing high-voltage power systems, taking early prototypes through design, testing, and iteration into deployable alpha hardware. Your work will help turn electrical concepts into practical systems for early design partners.

What You'll Do

  • Develop prototype hardware into structured, testable, customer-ready alpha systems.
  • Design high-voltage DC power conversion, switching, and distribution architectures, including systems using modern semiconductor devices.
  • Model and validate electrical, thermal, and system behavior with simulation tools such as SPICE or PLECS.
  • Lead hands-on lab bring-up, debugging, and characterization using high-power equipment.
  • Use AI tools, including agents and language models, to accelerate design, testing, and iteration.
  • Coordinate PCB fabrication, component sourcing, and packaging with external partners.
  • Make system-level tradeoffs across performance, thermal management, reliability, and manufacturability.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience designing, prototyping, and testing power electronics systems; experience up to 10 or more years is relevant.
  • Experience owning hardware from prototype through simulation, bring-up, validation, and iteration.
  • Hands-on gate-driver design experience for fast-switching architectures, and familiarity with high-voltage systems such as 800V-class designs.
  • Experience with power electronics, circuit design, SiC or GaN devices, SPICE, and PLECS.
  • A degree in electrical engineering or demonstrated aptitude in power electronics, with strong intuition for electrical, thermal, and mechanical tradeoffs.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into your engineering workflow.
  • Background in EVs, EV charging, solar, or battery storage is useful; personal engineering projects are also welcome.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, and located in or willing to relocate to Detroit.
