Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join a B2B SaaS team building AI-powered tools for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations run and turn those needs into reliable software used in the field.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside customer teams to understand real certification, inspection, and compliance processes.
• Lead customer conversations, write product specifications, and build end-to-end systems across frontend, backend, data, and AI layers.
• Own product areas from discovery through production, shipping early and improving solutions based on direct user feedback.
• Use customer documents, calls, and workflow outputs to develop AI-powered tools for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.
• Apply sound product judgment to distinguish broadly useful needs from customer-specific requests.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, including experience building and shipping production systems.
• Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with AI/ML, large language models, or document intelligence is valuable.
• Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
• Strong technical fundamentals and the ability to make pragmatic product decisions.
• Experience outside professional services or consulting is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary

£100,000 to £160,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in London, United Kingdom.
