Role description

The DevOps Manager leads the technical delivery, operational health, and continuous improvement of enterprise business application platforms with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure. This role is biased toward DevOps leadership and technical delivery management while also carrying platform ownership responsibilities for governance, lifecycle management, security, and release standards.

The role hires, mentors and coaches a global team of development professionals. It ensures they have the internal skills, standards, and operational discipline required to design, build, test, deploy, support, and continuously optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective enterprise solutions, including custom applications, ETL/data jobs, integrations, and related services across cloud and on-premise environments. Working closely with Solution Architecture, infrastructure, security, vendors, and business stakeholders, the DevOps Manager drives technical quality, test automation maturity, release reliability, platform stability, and adoption of modern engineering and governance practices.

The position will be based in Timisoara and will report administratively to our Romanian entity.

Main Responsibilities

Hire, lead, mentor, and develop a team of application development and DevOps professionals across global regions — aligning work assignments to skill levels, growth goals, and business priorities

Build resource, capacity, and prioritization plans for the DevOps function to reduce reliance on external parties and strengthen internal technical ownership

Manage technical delivery across projects and operational workstreams, including custom applications, ETL/data jobs, integrations, and related services across cloud and on-premise environments, resolving complex architecture, design, deployment, and support issues

Participate in and influence design reviews and technical decision-making across Microsoft enterprise platforms including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, and related integrations

Own and mature DevOps and ALM (i.e. Agile methodology) standards including solution packaging, release governance, CI/CD pipelines, QA testing, test automation, environment promotion practices, rollback readiness, and deployment controls

Establish and govern Power Platform environment lifecycle practices including environment creation, access control, copy, restore, backup coordination, and decommissioning.

Act as the technical authority and escalation point for troubleshooting and issue resolution

Forecast and manage cloud and platform consumption, including infrastructure, storage, compute, annual resource planning, budget inputs, project estimation, and technical planning to drive optimization, resiliency, and cost awareness.

Monitor project and operational status for team deliverables, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with strong technical quality

Drive continuous improvement in people, process, product quality, and platform operations, including adoption of modern engineering, automation, observability, and AI-assisted development capabilities where appropriate

Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, application development, platform operations, or enterprise application delivery within a regulated or complex enterprise environment.

2+ years of experience recruiting, mentoring, and leading technical teams, including coordination with global contributors.

Deep understanding of DevOps and ALM practices, including release pipelines, source control, deployment automation, solution management, and change governance.

Strong troubleshooting, technical review, and problem-solving capabilities across application, integration, platform, and deployment issues.

Strong hands-on and governance-level experience with Microsoft Azure services such as virtual machines, Azure SQL, App Service, Azure Functions, networking, storage, monitoring, and security capabilities.

Strong experience across Microsoft enterprise application ecosystems including Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, administration, security, and environment management).

Experience with Azure DevOps (TFS & Git version control) for CI/CD, backlog management, and release coordination.

Understanding of licensing, platform usage optimization, and cost governance for Microsoft cloud and application services.

Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, including EDI integration and large customer requirements, is considered an asset.
