AI Automation Engineer (Remote - U.S.)

Join a healthcare technology company as a hands-on, AI-native builder focused on making internal teams faster, clearer, and more accurate. You’ll work directly with operations, finance, clinical, and other business teams to understand how work actually gets done, spot bottlenecks, and build practical solutions using AI, automation, and modern software tools.

This is not a traditional software engineering role. You’ll be measured by the business value of what you build: reducing manual work, improving operational visibility, increasing accuracy, and accelerating key processes.

Compensation & Work Model

  • Fully remote within the United States
  • USD $120,000–$150,000 annual base salary
  • Bonus and equity

What You’ll Do

  • Work with operations, finance, clinical, and other teams to understand workflows, data processes, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Design, prototype, and deploy solutions using AI-assisted development tools, APIs, automation platforms, SQL, Python, and low-code technologies.
  • Automate repetitive tasks, connect disconnected systems, and streamline manual workflows.
  • Build dashboards, reporting tools, and lightweight internal applications that improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Apply LLMs, AI agents, and related technologies where they can meaningfully improve productivity or accuracy.
  • Own projects from problem discovery through deployment, iteration, and measurable business impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in software engineering, automation, data engineering, technical operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to work with APIs, databases, SQL, Python, and integration tools.
  • Experience building lightweight internal applications, dashboards, or workflow automations.
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to understand business processes quickly.
  • A self-starter who can identify problems, propose solutions, and execute without extensive specifications.
  • Comfort moving quickly, experimenting, and building practical solutions rather than over-engineered systems.

Prior experience as a forward-deployed engineer is not required. Demonstrated building ability, resourcefulness, business intuition, and the ability to deliver useful solutions matter more.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you’ll have independently identified and deployed multiple improvements that measurably reduce manual work, improve operational visibility, increase accuracy, or accelerate key business processes.

You’ll have broad exposure to how a healthcare technology company operates, direct access to business stakeholders, and the autonomy to turn ideas into working solutions quickly.

At Urrly, fairness matters. We use AI to review every application against the same clear requirements for the role. Candidates are evaluated only on job-related factors such as skills, certifications, and experience, not personal attributes.

Apply now and get a response within 24 hours.
