Manager Intake Call Notes

• Location: Remote (any US time zone except Hawaii and Alaska). Candidates within 50-miles of a hub location will have in-office expectations of 2 days a week onsite.
• Interview Details: 2 rounds
• Is this supporting any specific project: Building an app for coding and issuing P&C
• What stands out on a resume: Product Owner experience and the ability to communicate their value or the value they provided during their previous employment. Looking for resumes that don't just have job descriptions but how they have contributed to squad execution.
• Disqualifiers: No PO experience, no Agile exp, no exp with engineering or technology.
• Industry Exp: Insurance (P&C, health, dental, etc.) highly preferred, financial services, must have regulated Industry experience and knowledge.
• Day to Day: The contractor will work closely with product, design, engineering, and business partners to support delivery of prioritized work and gather input that informs decisions. Also:
• Attend daily standup
• Attend stakeholder meetings to ensure work is moving forward, identify potentially impacting work from Product
• Write user stories
• Synthesize Qualtrics feedback to identify potential areas of opportunity
• Build ContentSquare dashboard to review/prepare for recent implementation

This role is best suited for someone with some product management experience who is comfortable supporting day-to-day delivery work in a fast-moving environment. P&C experience is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Supports multiple squads delivering Auto and Umbrella quote flow capabilities.
• May run or support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and reviews as needed.
• Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and related delivery artifacts.
• Support epics and feature decomposition when needed.
• Gather input from stakeholders and conduct research to help inform product decisions.
• Partner with Product, Design, Research, Engineering, and business stakeholders to help translate requirements into executable work.
• Help maintain delivery momentum and support issue resolution across the squad.
• Support the launch and stabilization of new end-to-end quote flows in market.

Ideal candidate will have

• Product management or product owner experience in an Agile delivery environment.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and learn quickly on the job.
• Ownership mindset
• Strong execution and organization skills.
• Experience writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to facilitate or support Agile ceremonies.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to delivery in a collaborative team environment.
• P&C insurance experience is a bonus.
• Familiarity with quote flows, sales journeys, or digital customer experiences is a plus.
