We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality reviews, collaborating with vendors and SMEs, overseeing QA test plans, and ensuring that all testing activities meet business requirements and systems goals. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interact with various project team members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality reviews, collaborate on unit testing, and oversee QA test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Interact with project team members and stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to success.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to validate IT processes and maximize business investments.
- Develop and establish QA measures, testing standards, and strategic quality plans for applications, products, and enhancements.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and alternatives addressing trouble areas in IT systems and projects.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to QA standards and develop change control processes.
- Design and execute manual test plans, cases, and scripts for integrated systems and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure testing activities meet business requirements, systems goals, and compliance with functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate on various testing methods (unit, integration, regression, load, and acceptance) and recommend application improvements.
- Communicate test progress, results, and relevant information to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain defect management documentation and analyze test results to report defects, bugs, errors, and configuration issues.
- Perform bug fix verification and validation, including monitoring, tracking, and retesting issues.
- Participate in end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of QA best practices and verify and revise QA standards as needed.
- Provide quality management using standard methodologies, techniques, and metrics, and establish and monitor critical processes.
- Develop and implement QA methodologies, metrics, and life cycle processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field. Experience in a senior or lead QA role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and proficiency in various testing methods and tools.
