Automation QA Engineer (Backend)

We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated Backend Automation QA Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain test automation for backend services in Java, from smoke suites through full regression
• Grow our automated smoke tests into a trusted staging gate that blocks regressions before they reach production
• Partner with backend developers on end-to-end system verification that goes beyond smoke testing
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast, stable, and meaningful
• Help define quality gates and progression suites so every feature is verified by automation as part of the standard delivery process.

Requirements

• 3–5 years in test automation, with strong hands-on Java
• Java, Selenide/Selenium, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured (API), Allure
• Framework and infrastructure building and maintenance - Page Object Model, Docker/Selenoid, GitLab CI, Git
• Solid experience automating backend/API testing (REST, microservices) - request/response validation, functional flows
• A quality-first, automation-first mindset and the drive to reduce manual QA to zero
• Experience using AI tools for development & QA.
