Senior Software Engineer (Java/React) | Vilnius

A Full Stack Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using Java and a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue). This includes working with technologies such as Java, messaging brokers, ORM, as well as front-end web development technologies such as React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. The Full Stack Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Strong technical skills and experience with both front-end and back-end development are essential for this role. Good knowledge of DDD, CQRS, and Clean Architecture is mandatory. Hands-on experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue, or similar) is expected. They will also collaborate closely with other team members, including other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
• Collaborating with other team members to gather and understand requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Designing and developing software using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Developing and maintaining front-end web components using a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Building and consuming RESTful web services and APIs.
• Writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other team members.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues.
• Continuously improving the software development process and practices.
• Communicating with stakeholders and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to improve the software and the development process.

Essential Skills

• Back-end: Java (17+), Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA/MyBatis, RESTful APIs, Messaging brokers.
• Architecture: DDD, CQRS, Clean Architecture.
• Front-end: TypeScript, a modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue, or similar), HTML5/CSS3.
• Data: SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud: experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Quality: unit and integration testing.
• AI-assisted development: hands-on experience using AI tools in daily work, with a critical understanding of their strengths, limitations, and risks (e.g., code quality, security, IP).

Nice to Have Skills

• CI/CD: AWS, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi.
• Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
