Teamwork and collaboration are critical to Zensar’s mission and success, and our teams work on a diverse and challenging mix of technologies across a broad industry spectrum. These industries include banking and financial services, high-tech and manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, retail, and consumer services. If you are looking for a place to have an immediate impact, to grow and contribute, where we work hard, play hard, and support each other, consider joining team Zensar!
Zensar is looking for a Graduate Software Engineer - AI Platform Development in the United States (Princeton, NJ – 100% Onsite/Hybrid). This position is open for Full Time with excellent benefits and professional growth opportunities.
About the Role
- You will join Zensar's AI Platform Development team.
- We design and build custom AI platforms, for our own use and for our clients, and deploy them on any major cloud or in a client's own environment.
- The work needs a real understanding of how AI models, agents and decision models work, and the engineering to make them dependable.
- Engineers work in two modes: building platforms with the team, and working forward deployed with clients to put them into their environments.
- Build features end to end; services and APIs, web interfaces, data and tests.
- Build AI agents and the controls around them: prompts, tools, retrieval, evaluations, human approval and audit trails.
- Understand the roadmap, propose new features, and take them from idea to release.
- Work with AI coding assistants every day: write clear specifications, review what they produce, own the result.
- Deploy platforms into a client's cloud or data centre and integrate them with the client's systems and APIs.
- Work alongside client teams, adapt the platform to their needs, and bring what you learn back into the product.
- Run demos, pilots and handovers; explain technical choices to engineers and managers alike.
Key Responsibilities
Build the platforms
Work forward deployed with clients
Must have skills
- Strong Python, plus TypeScript or JavaScript.
- APIs (HTTP, REST, JSON, OAuth basics) and SQL databases.
- Linux, the shell, Docker, Git and GitHub.
- Cloud skills that travel: compute, storage, networking, identity and infrastructure as code on at least one of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud, and ready to work
- How AI models work: large language models, embeddings, prompting, fine-tuning basics, and their limits.
- How agents work: planning, tool use, memory and retrieval; has built at least one.
- How decision models work: rules, scoring and machine learning classifiers, and how to evaluate and explain them.
- Clear with clients; willing to work at client sites and travel
- React; FastAPI or a similar framework.
- Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
- Agent frameworks and protocols (LangGraph, MCP), vector search, knowledge graphs.
- Evaluating model outputs: test sets, metrics, red-teaming.
- Networking and systems basics: DNS, TLS, load balancers, monitoring.
- Security basics: OWASP Top 10, secrets management.
- A cloud certification from any provider; internships, open-source work, hackathons, or a project other people actually used.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field from a strong US university, graduating in 2025 or 2026, with a strong academic record.
- Builders: a GitHub profile or portfolio with real projects, not only coursework.
- Clear writers: can explain a design on one page and a decision in one paragraph.
- People who own outcomes, learn fast, are comfortable with open problems, and can switch between building the platform and working with a client's team.
on any of them when needed.
