We are looking for candidates with strong SQL development, ETL, SSIS, and data warehousing experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL processes and SQL databases to support enterprise data integration and reporting requirements.

Job Summary

The Senior SQL BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support data integration and data warehousing needs.

The candidate will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurately processed, transformed, and made available for reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• SQL Development & ETL
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL and ETL tools.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and data marts.
• Implement data validation and error-handling mechanisms.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and queries.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Automate SSIS packages using SQL Server Agent.
• Work hands-on with Windows Scheduler and batch file processing.
• Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization
• Optimize and tune ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues to ensure high availability and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data quality and reliable data availability for analysis and reporting.
• Documentation & Best Practices
• Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure development best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in ETL and data integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SQL ETL Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience automating SSIS packages using SQL Server Agent.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Scheduler and batch file processing.
• Strong experience in SQL query optimization, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Understanding of data validation, error handling, and data integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, or C#.
• Experience with performance tuning and ETL optimization.
