These systems also support the distribution of settings and configuration to edge devices, directly enabling customer-facing capabilities and helping solve real-world customer needs. The position contributes to platform architecture and engineering practices with a focus on building reliable, scalable systems that have a direct impact on both the product and the business.

- Improve platform reliability, observability, testing, automation, documentation, and overall engineering quality.
- Troubleshoot complex platform, networking, distributed-state, and production reliability issues across device-edge and cloud services, including SSH and reverse-tunnel workflows.
- Collaborate across engineering teams, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and contribute to architecture and development practices that improve the scalability and maintainability of the platform.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant software or cloud engineering experience, with demonstrated senior-level ownership of complex production systems; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Go expertise, emphasis on concurrency, systems programming, and production HTTP services
- Strong networking and distributed-systems fundamentals, including SSH protocol concepts, reverse tunneling, network security, and state coordination using technologies such as etcd and Redis.
- Experience with containerized CI/CD environments, production observability, and disciplined automated testing; comfortable working across languages and reading Python/Django code when needed, and able to use AI coding tools productively while critically validating generated work.
