Job Description
We are seeking a technically strong Microsoft 365 and SharePoint professional to join our team supporting enterprise collaboration, governance, and lifecycle management solutions.
This role sits between a traditional Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and a hands-on Microsoft 365 technical specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineering teams, and support teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and help implement and enhance Microsoft 365 governance capabilities.
A significant part of the role will involve AvePoint products used for Microsoft 365 governance and management. Prior AvePoint experience is preferred but is not required. Candidates with strong SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 experience who are willing to develop AvePoint expertise are encouraged to apply.
This is not primarily a software developer position, although the successful candidate should be comfortable with technical configuration, APIs, scripting, automation, data analysis, and making targeted code/configuration changes when required.

Support automated workspace provisioning, lifecycle management, renewal, ownership, permissions, and governance processes.
Develop AvePoint product expertise and act as a technical point of contact for ongoing enhancements and operational issues.
Evaluate opportunities to automate manual governance and support processes.
Business Systems Analysis
Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, controls, and technical requirements.
Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process flows, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Perform impact analysis for proposed product and configuration changes.
Coordinate with architects, developers, administrators, business teams, vendors, and support teams through the solution lifecycle.
Participate in testing, UAT, deployment planning, documentation, and production validation.
Investigate production issues using data, logs, APIs, reports, and other diagnostic information.
Technical Integration and Automation
Use technologies such as PowerShell, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, Power BI, or similar tools to support automation, troubleshooting, reporting, or integration requirements.
Read and understand API requests/responses, JSON, authentication concepts, and system integration patterns.
Create scripts or lightweight technical solutions to automate repetitive operational activities where appropriate.
Work with data from Microsoft 365 and third-party platforms to support operational reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with development teams where more complex custom development is required.
Governance, Security, and Compliance
Support Microsoft 365 governance processes covering workspace lifecycle, ownership, permissions, external sharing, and information management.
Work with security, privacy, compliance, and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with organizational standards.
Participate in required architecture, risk, security, change-management, and software-development-lifecycle processes.
