Why Work Here

This is a mission-driven bank that puts its values at the center of how it does business, serving organizations and individuals focused on making a positive social and environmental impact. Technology plays a direct role in supporting that purpose, and the IT team is actively investing in modern platforms to better serve clients and the people who work with them. You'll be part of a collaborative group that reports into enterprise architecture leadership, which gives you real visibility and a strong voice in how the platform evolves. It's an opportunity to bring senior-level Salesforce expertise to an established, stable institution while knowing your work supports an organization that stands for something.

About the Role

As the senior Salesforce expert on the team, you'll own the design, build, and administration of solutions on the bank's Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on Financial Services Cloud. This is a hands-on role that blends advanced development with platform administration and business analysis, so you'll split your time between writing code and working directly with users across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT to understand what they need. You'll turn business requirements into secure, scalable solutions, build integrations with other enterprise systems, and help set the standards for how Salesforce work is developed, tested, and released. You'll also act as a technical leader, guiding platform governance, mentoring others, and finding new ways to get more value out of the Salesforce ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce solutions, from design and build through testing, deployment, and ongoing support, using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow
  • Work directly with business stakeholders and end users to uncover their goals, pain points, and detailed functional and technical requirements
  • Run requirements workshops, process reviews, and design sessions, then turn the outcomes into process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specs, and technical designs
  • Assess current processes and recommend practical future-state solutions that weigh business value, user experience, security, scalability, maintainability, and level of effort
  • Handle core Salesforce administration, including user setup and support, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, page layouts, record types, custom objects and fields, validation rules, reports, dashboards, data management, and declarative automation
  • Act as the go-to Salesforce advisor, helping stakeholders decide whether a need is best met through standard configuration, automation, integration, or custom development
  • Build and support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, platform events, and other approved patterns
  • Define and champion standards for development, configuration, security, data, testing, release management, and documentation in line with enterprise architecture and IT governance
  • Conduct code and solution reviews, lead unit, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, and troubleshoot defects and production issues to meet quality, performance, and security expectations
  • Perform regular reviews of platform configuration, user access, and data quality to identify risks, technical debt, and optimization opportunities, then carry out approved fixes and improvements
  • Drive release planning and deployments, including sandbox management, source control, CI/CD practices, production validation, and post-release support
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and new platform capabilities, evaluate their business impact, and recommend enhancements that improve automation, data visibility, user adoption, and operational performance

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • 9+ years of progressive Salesforce experience across platform development, configuration, administration, integration, solution design, and production support
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including configuring, customizing, and developing on the FSC data model (Person Accounts, Households, Financial Accounts, Relationship Groups) in a banking or financial services environment
  • Advanced development skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Aura, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, and asynchronous processing
  • Proven Salesforce administration experience covering security and access management, data management, reports and dashboards, object configuration, declarative automation, sandbox management, and release support
  • Salesforce business analysis experience, including stakeholder interviews, workshop facilitation, process mapping, requirements gathering and documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution validation, and UAT
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security and sharing, governor limits, integration patterns, data modeling, API development, and SDLC practices
  • Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts clearly to end users, business leaders, developers, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders

Bonus / Soft Skills

  • Salesforce Platform Developer and Salesforce Administrator certifications preferred
  • Salesforce Business Analyst, Advanced Administrator, or architecture certifications a plus
  • Experience with Agile delivery, source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools for managing Salesforce changes across environments
  • Track record leading technical design, code reviews, testing, deployments, troubleshooting, and production support for enterprise Salesforce solutions
  • Self-starter who can lead complex assignments independently, mentor less experienced team members, and manage competing priorities in a collaborative setting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, facilitation, and documentation skills with close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
