Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer with 5–7 years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in configuring and customizing Guidewire PolicyCenter using Gosu, PCF (Page Configuration Files), and Product Model.

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing business requirements, supporting system integrations, and delivering high-quality solutions across Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations. Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and policy administration processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, customize, and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter using Gosu, PCF, and Product Model.
• Implement policy lifecycle functionalities, including submissions, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Configure Product Model components, including lines of business, coverages, conditions, exclusions, and modifiers.
• Develop and enhance user interface (UI) screens, validation rules, business rules, and workflows.
• Configure and maintain rate tables, underwriting rules, and eligibility rules.
• Support integrations with upstream and downstream systems using SOAP/REST web services, messaging, and plugins.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot defects, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and QA teams to understand and implement business requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support application releases and deployments.
• Participate in technical design discussions, effort estimations, and solution planning.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration and Guidewire Cloud.
• Proficiency in Gosu programming.
• Experience with PCF (Page Configuration Files) development and customization.
• Expertise in Guidewire Product Model configuration.
• Strong understanding of business rules, validation rules, and workflows.
• Experience with XML, SOAP, REST APIs, and web services.
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse and Guidewire Studio.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the Guidewire Integration Framework.
• Exposure to Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter.
• Experience with Guidewire upgrades or Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and batch configuration.

Domain Experience

• Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
• Personal Lines of Business.
• Insurance policy administration processes.
• Understanding of the complete policy lifecycle.

Preferred Certifications

• Guidewire Certified PolicyCenter Configuration Specialist.
• Guidewire ACE Certification.
