Job Description

Seeking an experienced AWS Application Support / Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud services, SQL, application troubleshooting, and production operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Python and Java applications, troubleshooting data and API issues, managing production incidents, and working with DevOps and CI/CD processes.

Must-Have Skills

• AWS: S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, ECS, or comparable AWS services
• Database & Data Support: SQL, relational databases, data validation, and troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting missing or incorrect data, data refresh failures, access issues, and data inconsistencies
• Python and Java application troubleshooting
• Application log analysis, configuration files, error investigation, and API response troubleshooting
• REST APIs and application integration support
• Customer-facing production/application support experience
• Incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and monitoring
• Operational documentation and issue management
• Working knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD, Terraform, DevOps, and AWS-native pipelines
• Cloud security, secure data handling, and controlled non-production data usage
• Strong communication, ownership, and end-to-end issue resolution

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production and application support for AWS-hosted enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot data issues, including missing or incorrect records, refresh failures, access problems, and inconsistencies.
• Investigate Python and Java application issues through logs, configuration files, error messages, and API responses.
• Support REST API integrations and resolve application connectivity or data exchange issues.
• Perform SQL queries and data validation to identify and resolve production issues.
• Monitor AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and ECS.
• Manage incidents from initial intake through investigation, resolution, and closure.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and DevOps teams.
• Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support procedures.
• Follow cloud security practices and ensure secure handling of test and non-production data.
