Azure Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) at Everience. We’ll keep it in your applied jobs, so you can see it later and be warned before applying to the same employer twice.

For a large-scale, business-critical IT transformation project within an international enterprise environment, we are looking for experienced Azure Cloud Engineers to support the cutover and hypercare phases. The project involves complex Azure infrastructure and application environments where operational continuity, platform stability, and rapid incident resolution are essential. During the cutover and hypercare periods, engineers will work alongside technical teams to monitor infrastructure, execute planned activities, and provide immediate technical assistance when incidents occur. This role requires professionals who can work independently, take ownership of technical issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders during live troubleshooting sessions. This is primarily an operational engineering and troubleshooting assignment rather than an architecture or development role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for Azure infrastructure during critical cutover and hypercare activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting Azure IaaS/PaaS services, infrastructure connectivity, and application availability.
  • Participate in live incident calls, performing real-time technical analysis and resolution.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security using Azure monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Execute predefined cutover activities, technical changes, and operational recovery procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve issues involving Azure Virtual Machines, storage, networking, and cloud services.
  • Support infrastructure automation and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Collaborate closely with database administrators, application specialists, and other infrastructure teams.
  • Escalate critical incidents when necessary and ensure clear technical handovers between shifts.
  • Maintain operational documentation, incident records, and shift handover reports.
  • Support service availability and recovery activities in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Actively contribute to production stability throughout the hypercare period.
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS services, including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, networking, and application infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Shell, Python, or YAML.
  • Experience with Azure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Understanding of Azure security, access management, and operational best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues in business-critical production environments.
  • Ability to work independently and make technical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence participating directly in customer-facing technical incident calls.
  • Experience working within structured incident, change, and escalation processes.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting SAP workloads hosted on Azure.
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containerized workloads, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, Application Gateway, and Databricks.
  • Experience supporting Oracle databases hosted on Azure infrastructure.
  • Previous involvement in large-scale IT migrations, production cutovers, or hypercare assignments.
  • Experience working in multinational enterprise environments.
  • Start date: December 2026.
  • Full-time assignment (40 hours per week).
  • Availability for rotating 24/7 shifts is required, with emphasis on evening and night shifts.

All our positions are open to both women and men and are, of course, open to people with disabilities.
