Azure Fabric – Data Engineer (26-00532) -

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Fabric and a strong background in data engineering, particularly within the Property & Casualty insurance domain. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure, PySpark, and SQL development. The position is hybrid remote, with a preference for candidates located in Pune or Bangalore. The shift timing is from 02:00 PM IST to 11:00 PM IST.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure technologies.
• Design and implement cloud-based data solutions, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and monitoring, with a focus on production reliability.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.
• Support BI, analytics, data science, and AI-enabled workloads.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, driving work independently and proactively.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of development experience in Azure Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, and SQL development.
• Experience with Azure Fabric Stack, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
• Prior experience in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.

• Strong expertise in SQL, Data Modelling, ETL/ELT, and data pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL Server/T-SQL skills, including complex query development and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Python/PySpark for data engineering and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JSON and REST API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git-based development, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL Server database projects and DACPAC build/deployment automation.
• Insurance data-modeling knowledge across policy, premium, claims, exposure, finance, and reinsurance data.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for data/software engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure ML/Azure AI, and modern cloud-native data engineering practices.
