Senior DevOps / SRE / Automation Engineer

Builds and runs the AWS estate

isolated VPC, VPC peering to Client, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, WAF, Cognito. Owns CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, backups, Multi-AZ resilience and release automation. Assists with transition from legacy estate. The ideal candidate is familiar with both the target AWS stack and the legacy stack (AIX, Java, DB2, CRON, Payara / Glassfish), and is able to work independently and establish the team's DevOps processes.

Tech Stack

AWS (VPC, peering, ECS Fargate, ECR, RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL, CloudFront, Route 53, WAF, Cognito, Lambda, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager). Terraform or AWS CDK. GitHub Actions. Docker. CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry. Kafka client networking. Linux, Bash, Python. Some legacy stack - AIX, Java, DB2, CRON, Payara / Glassfish.
