Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Production Support Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for providing Level 3 production and technical support for critical payment processing applications. The successful candidate will monitor application health, investigate and resolve incidents, perform transaction recovery, and collaborate with various technology teams to ensure platform stability.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production and technical support
• Monitor application health and payment processing
• Investigate and resolve incidents
• Perform transaction recovery
• Support releases and infrastructure maintenance
• Coordinate global shift handoffs
• Maintain operational procedures
• Partner with application, middleware, database and operations teams to restore service and improve platform stability

Requirements

• 5-7 years of production or technical support experience
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• Experience with REST/SOAP services
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• Understanding of application messaging/MQ
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication
• Ability to support releases and recovery activities

Desired skills

• Experience with Containers
• Experience with Mule ESB or WebSphere MQ
• Knowledge of Spring-based services
• Familiarity with payment-message flows
• Experience with automation/scripting
• Experience with capacity monitoring
• Experience in a follow-the-sun support model

Pay range

$58.26 - $66.26 per hour
