Data & Cloud Solution Architect – Databricks, Power BI & Azure

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Data & Cloud Solution Architect – Databricks, Power BI & Azure for their Remote location.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Enterprise Architecture point of contact for Databricks and Power BI, covering integrations, platform changes and architecture discussions.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient data and analytics solution architectures.
• Create architecture artifacts including:
• Context and Solution Architecture views
• Information/Data views
• Integration and Data Flow views
• Network and Infrastructure diagrams
• Security architecture
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery views
• Develop and maintain architecture views and models using Bizz Design.
• Prepare and present Solution Disclosures for review and approval through the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
• Triage architecture demands raised by application, data, analytics, and platform teams.
• Assess solution impacts, dependencies, integration requirements, security considerations, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Define reusable integration patterns, architecture standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Develop High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) strategies and implementation procedures.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Security and Enterprise Architecture teams.
• Provide architecture guidance throughout solution design and implementation.

Requirements

• Required Technical Skills:
• Databricks: Workspaces, Unity Catalog, Lakehouse architecture, security/access patterns, data integration and Genie Agents.
• Power BI: Enterprise architecture, semantic models, gateways, security, connectivity and deployment patterns.
• Microsoft Azure: Regions, VNets, Subnets, VNet Peering, Private Endpoints, Firewalls, networking and security.
• SAP HANA: Data sourcing and enterprise integration patterns.
• Salesforce Data 360: Data integration and data-sharing architecture.
• Ataccama: Data quality, governance, and integration concepts.
• BizzDesign: Enterprise/Solution Architecture modeling and documentation.
• Strong understanding of Data, Integration, Cloud, Network, Infrastructure and Security Architecture.
• Experience with ARB/Architecture Governance, Integration Patterns, HA/DR and enterprise architecture standards.
• Experience:
• 10 years of overall Data/Technology experience.
• 5 years in Data, Solution or Enterprise Architecture roles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work across engineering, architecture, security and leadership teams.
