⦁Network Lab Experience (L1/L2 Support)

Detailed Job Description

⦁7+ years of experience in Network Lab with strong expertise in managing lab installations, activation and validation of optical devices, and provide L1/L2 support for connectivity issues and troubleshooting.

⦁Handle installation and activation of new test equipment and make it available to end users.

⦁Apply a good understanding of OLTs, ONTs, splitters, and other optical & network devices in day-to-day work.

⦁Perform image upgrades and assist with configuration updates.

⦁Confirm device reachability and validate ports, links & network devices.

⦁Develop, enhance, and maintain Python scripts to automate routine operational tasks.

⦁Debug the reported issue and create a root cause analysis and fix for the issue reported.

⦁Engineer can work in shifts and on-call support for Critical service requests.

⦁Good communication and attitude towards work.

⦁Triage tickets and provide Level 1/2 support for connectivity and traffic issues.

⦁Good understanding of the ethernet copper and fiber connectivity and their SFP 1G/10G.

⦁Exposure to Cisco/Juniper network switches and routers is an added advantage.
