IT Specialist at IONIX. We’ll keep it in your applied jobs, so you can see it later and be warned before applying to the same employer twice.

Description

IONIX is redefining how the world's largest enterprises manage their external attack surface. Our External Exposure Management platform empowers security teams to discover every internet-facing asset, map dependencies, validate exploitable risks, and prioritize what truly matters - at scale, in real time. Global leaders including BlackRock, Warner Music Group, Infosys, Sompo, The Telegraph, and E.ON trust IONIX to proactively defend their complex and dynamic attack surfaces. We reduce alert fatigue, streamline remediation workflows, and ensure critical risks reach the right people - fast.

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our DevOps / IT team and help employees work effectively and securely across devices, accounts, and workplace applications.

Working with experienced teammates, you will handle routine IT tasks within approved access and change procedures, document solutions, and escalate complex issues and suspected security incidents. This is an early-career role with room to build technical skills and take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding: prepare equipment, provision approved access, remove access on agreed timelines, recover devices, and keep device and access records accurate.
  • Provide friendly first-line support for Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu laptops, productivity applications, connectivity, and workplace equipment; troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed.
  • Help administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Slack, and Atlassian Cloud: users, groups, licenses, approved permissions, and MFA. Troubleshoot account and access issues, and assist with SSO issues under guidance.
  • Assist with device enrollment, software deployment, updates, encryption, and endpoint protection, including CrowdStrike Falcon. Follow up on device security gaps and help collect evidence for security and compliance reviews.
  • Handle support requests from intake to resolution: record useful details, prioritize by impact, keep employees informed, and provide clear documentation when escalating issues.
  • Maintain device inventory and license records. Track vendor renewals, expiry dates, service changes, and maintenance notices, and flag required actions to the responsible owner in time.
  • Improve recurring IT tasks with basic scripts and approved tools, and help create and maintain support guides and checklists with IT, DevOps, Security, and People / HR.

Requirements

  • An early-career background in IT support or help desk, typically 1-3 years, or equivalent practical experience through studies, military service, internships, or hands-on projects.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including accounts, permissions, and MFA; basic troubleshooting skills in one or more of Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu, with willingness to learn the others.
  • An understanding of basic networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPNs, with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and adapt simple scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python, with guidance and review.
  • A service-oriented approach, patience, clear communication, and the ability to explain technical steps in simple language.
  • Good organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through; willingness to ask for help and escalate issues early.
  • Very good written and spoken English, including clear ticket updates, technical documentation, and communication with international vendors.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to endpoint management or protection tools, or to SSO/SAML and Conditional Access.
  • Familiarity with AI assistants for troubleshooting or scripting, with the ability to review their output and handle company information appropriately.
  • Curiosity about IT automation and cybersecurity, demonstrated through practical projects or relevant coursework.
