Senior Network Engineer

This role will focus on wireless infrastructure, secure network access, authentication technologies, and network performance. The successful candidate will work closely with network engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise network and establish a segmented, untrusted network zone for wired connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support enterprise wireless networks, with a primary focus on Client Aruba wireless solutions.
• Coordinate and lead technical changes and plans with cross-functional teams to implement an untrusted wired network design
• Implement and troubleshoot network access security features, including MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB) and IEEE 802.1X authentication on Cisco and Client Aruba equipment.
• Configure and maintain wireless access points, wireless controllers, SSIDs, authentication policies, and related network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, authentication failures, roaming issues, coverage gaps, interference, and performance degradation.
• Support secure wired and wireless network access, including integration with authentication services such as RADIUS and network access control (NAC) platforms.
• Develop and maintain network configurations, technical documentation, implementation plans, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with network security teams to ensure wireless and network access configurations align with enterprise security standards.
• Perform network upgrades, configuration changes, firmware updates, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Analyze network performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve wireless coverage, reliability, capacity, and security.
• Provide advanced technical support and act as a senior escalation point for complex wireless and network authentication issues.

Required Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in enterprise wireless/wired networking and network engineering.
• Strong practical experience with Client Aruba wireless infrastructure, including access points, controllers or gateways, and wireless configuration and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and troubleshooting MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB) and IEEE 802.1X on Cisco and Client Aruba networking equipment.
• Solid understanding of wireless networking standards, RF fundamentals, WLAN architecture, roaming, and wireless security.
• Experience with authentication protocols and services, including RADIUS and related AAA concepts.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and routing and switching.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity, authentication, and network performance issues across multi-vendor environments.
• Experience working in enterprise network environments and coordinating and leading technical changes and plans with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
