Working closely with developers, business stakeholders, and project leadership, you will translate organizational requirements into reliable, high-performing platform solutions. You will also help modernize enterprise workflows, strengthen governance frameworks, and ensure alignment with technical and security standards. This is an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical government and enterprise initiatives while working with advanced technologies in highly secure environments.
Accountabilities
- Lead the technical architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise ServiceNow applications supporting governance, risk management, compliance, and audit operations.
- Translate approved architectural designs and business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions aligned with ServiceNow platform standards and enterprise objectives.
- Develop scoped applications that extend native ServiceNow GRC/IRM capabilities while preserving out-of-the-box functionality and minimizing unnecessary customizations.
- Design and implement application data structures and relationships supporting audit engagements, control objectives, evidence management, findings, recommendations, and corrective action tracking.
- Establish robust application security models using Access Control Lists (ACLs), role-based permissions, assignment groups, and record-level security to protect sensitive information.
- Configure application access and visibility rules to ensure users can only view or modify information appropriate to their responsibilities and authorization levels.
- Develop end-to-end workflows covering audit planning, engagement management, fieldwork, supervisory reviews, reporting, findings, and corrective action follow-up.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) capabilities to support project intake, prioritization, approvals, and coordination with GRC/IRM processes.
- Build integrations and automated processes that synchronize information across ServiceNow modules and maintain consistency throughout business workflows.
- Develop interactive workspaces and Service Portals that improve usability, streamline processes, and provide appropriate visibility into operational activities.
- Implement Flow Designer automation for task assignments, approval routing, notifications, review processes, and workflow completion requirements.
- Design and configure risk and compliance solutions supporting entity management, control objectives, control assignments, attestations, and testing activities.
- Support enterprise control frameworks, including mapping controls to relevant entities, departments, and business functions.
- Develop solutions for tracking audit findings, recommendations, remediation activities, and corrective action plans.
- Plan and execute data migration initiatives from legacy platforms into ServiceNow, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Establish and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, development standards, and implementation procedures.
- Lead technical reviews of code, application configurations, and update sets to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and compatibility with future platform upgrades.
- Participate in architecture reviews and present technical recommendations, proposed solutions, and implementation decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and development guidance to engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers, business process owners, and technical teams to manage backlogs, prioritize development activities, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical estimation, and retrospectives.
- Oversee technical testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment preparation, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support.
