Senior Software Engineer - Apps Team

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Apps Team based in India.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help scale a core technology platform and accelerate product delivery in a remote engineering environment. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing support. You will contribute to architectural decisions while building scalable, maintainable applications that meet evolving product needs. Working closely with product and engineering colleagues, you will turn complex requirements into practical, high-quality solutions. You will also help strengthen system performance, reliability, and engineering standards while supporting applications that handle sensitive data. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful technical impact within a collaborative, high-ownership team.

Accountabilities

• Own the complete delivery lifecycle of features, from design and development to deployment and production support.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable systems that support evolving product requirements.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and identify opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.
• Promote engineering excellence through testing, clean code, maintainable solutions, and constructive code reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and initiatives that improve operational reliability.
• Apply security best practices when developing and maintaining systems that process personally identifiable information (PII).

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, clean code, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, work through ambiguity, and independently define technical solutions.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP servers.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software in fast-paced environments.
• Experience contributing to system architecture, conducting code reviews, and raising engineering standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Knowledge of security practices and experience handling sensitive data, including PII.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, or large-scale, data-intensive platforms.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology, compliance, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems.
• A track record of reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring.
• Experience improving developer productivity through CI/CD practices and engineering tools.
