My client is building digital experiences that empower customers across web and mobile. We're looking for a Senior UX Product Designer to shape intuitive, impactful experiences that improve customer outcomes and drive business growth across our credit card products and customer journeys.

In this role, you'll lead complex design initiatives from discovery through delivery, translating customer insights and business needs into thoughtful, effective product experiences. You'll also contribute to shared capabilities that strengthen how teams design and deliver products, including design systems, content experiences, and collaborative design processes.

UX Design partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to bring ideas to life and deliver meaningful customer value. We value designers who combine strong design craft with strategic thinking, communicate their ideas clearly, and bring teams together to solve complex problems.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end product design initiatives, from discovery and problem framing through concept development, validation, and delivery.
• Translate customer insights, research, competitive analysis, and product data into intuitive, effective experiences.
• Design cohesive customer journeys that connect experiences across products, channels, and the customer lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and other partners to align priorities and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to shared design capabilities, including design systems, content design, and processes that improve collaboration and consistency across teams.
• Facilitate workshops, communicate design rationale, and advocate for customer-centered design and Design Thinking.
• Manage multiple initiatives, balancing complexity, priorities, and evolving business needs.
• Navigate ambiguity, build alignment, and help teams move forward through complex problems.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience designing digital products and experiences, supported by a portfolio demonstrating design craft, problem-solving, and meaningful outcomes.
• Ability to translate customer insights and business objectives into thoughtful, effective product experiences.
• Experience independently owning complex design initiatives and partnering across Product, Engineering, and other disciplines.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.
• A holistic approach to UX that considers customer journeys, usability, accessibility, and consistency across experiences.
• Comfort working in ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities, and balancing multiple projects.
• A collaborative mindset that builds trust, encourages diverse perspectives, and helps teams solve problems together.

• Content design and UX writing
• UX research and usability testing
• Design systems and design operations
• Workshop facilitation and collaborative design processes
• Accessibility and mobile-first design
• AI-enabled experiences or AI-assisted design workflows

Additional Information

• This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role.
• Candidates considered for full-time conversion must reside within 50 miles of the client's corporate office in South End, Charlotte, NC.
