Job Description

The client is seeking a contract React Front End Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance an existing subscriber management and billing platform spanning three web applications.

Job Summary

• Maintain and enhance an existing React application, primarily troubleshooting bugs and implementing targeted improvements.
• Support payment integrations including ACH, 3D Secure, autopay, and payment processing.
• Develop and maintain data-heavy admin dashboards, billing screens, forms, tables, and reporting interfaces.
• Manage front-end security, dependencies, and build environment updates.
• Own front-end deployments through Azure DevOps, including releases, testing, and rollbacks.
• Perform regression testing, improve automated test coverage, and maintain technical documentation.
• Partner closely with the Product Manager and Back End Engineer to prioritize enhancements and resolve issues.

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years of professional front-end development experience.
• Strong React experience, including familiarity with older class-component code and modern JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Redux and React Router.
• Experience building data-heavy admin interfaces, including tables, forms, filters, and dashboards.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive design skills.
• Experience with REST APIs, JWT authentication, Node, Yarn, Webpack, and CI/CD deployment.
• Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot an existing production codebase.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stripe Elements / React Stripe.js experience, particularly 3D Secure, ACH bank linking, and payment flows.
• Experience with Bootstrap / Reactstrap and CSS-in-JS (Emotion or styled-components).
• Familiarity with front-end security practices and Content Security Policy.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright.
• Working proficiency in TypeScript.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Background in renewable energy, community solar, or billing platforms.
