Position Overview
A leading financial institution is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join its Digital Account Servicing team and help drive the continued development and expansion of its next-generation online banking platform. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a critical product area within a modern banking platform that has recently launched with an initial pilot group and is preparing for a significant customer migration.
The ideal candidate brings experience in banking or financial services, a strong understanding of digital banking experiences, and the ability to independently drive product initiatives from requirements gathering through development and launch. This individual will work closely with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to manage the product roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure successful delivery of key capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product management for the Digital Account Servicing function within the online banking platform.
- Manage the product roadmap, backlog, requirements, and prioritization of backend and customer-facing account servicing features.
- Partner with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to define requirements and drive features from development through launch.
- Oversee functionality across account servicing, including account details, balances, transactions, card management, and transaction management.
- Support customer alerts, notifications, messaging, communications, personalization, and engagement within the digital banking application.
- Manage profile and security center capabilities, including customer profile management, profile updates, and security settings.
- Work closely with adjacent Product Managers overseeing Money Movement and Digital Identity to ensure dependencies and integrations are aligned.
- Partner with technical teams supporting backend infrastructure and Banker & Operations (B&O) platforms.
- Lead Agile teams and manage product requirements, tickets, prioritization, and sprint activities.
- Monitor product performance after launch, gather stakeholder feedback, identify gaps, and drive ongoing enhancements.
- Help define future product strategy, roadmap priorities, and new feature development for 2027.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to improve product operations, documentation, requirements gathering, and overall efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Product Management experience; mid-level candidates with strong ownership and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
- Experience within banking, financial services, fintech, or a related financial technology environment.
- Understanding of banking terminology, account structures, posted and pending balances, transactions, card management, and customer banking experiences.
- Exposure to online banking or mobile banking platforms and an understanding of how digital profiles, accounts, entitlements, and backend systems connect.
- Experience working with engineering teams in an Agile environment, including backlog management, requirements gathering, ticket creation, and prioritization.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of initiatives from concept and requirements through development, launch, and ongoing enhancements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to proactively build relationships, manage competing priorities, and keep teams aligned.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently drive initiatives, identify challenges, and provide solutions.
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools and an interest in leveraging emerging technologies to improve product management workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital banking platforms such as Q2, Finzact, or Candescent.
- Experience helping build, modernize, or scale a homegrown digital banking platform.
- Familiarity with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) environments.
- Understanding of API integrations, backend system connections, and technical requirements.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Cursor.
