Lead Python Developer

At Nimber, we're looking for an experienced Lead Python Developer to join a challenging project focused on building reliable, scalable and high-quality software solutions.

You'll combine hands-on Python development, technical leadership and DevOps practices, driving improvements in code quality, development processes and team performance.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example and is passionate about clean code, Test-Driven Development (TDD) and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Implement and promote Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure code quality, reliability and maintainability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across development workflows, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Refactor existing code, applying clean architecture and simple design principles.
• Design and maintain resilient, scalable and high-performance software architectures.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural and development decisions.
• Promote collaboration through pair programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Mentor developers and encourage the adoption of engineering best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency, software quality and overall team performance.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive professional experience in Python development, including hands-on experience with Django.
• Strong practical knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing principles.
• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with code refactoring, clean architecture and software design principles.
• Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, resilient backend applications.
• Experience participating in or leading code reviews, pair programming and collaborative development practices.
• Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor other developers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A high level of autonomy, ownership and accountability.
• A results-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to software quality and continuous learning.
